Kim had a way of being so intense and yet it never scared him. Or overwhelmed him. Because that intensity was honest. This was a man who had been through hardships and had learned to protect his heart so he wouldn't be hurt again. Yet he was opening his heart to him and to Will. He was giving them something so precious by trusting them and being vulnerable.

Riley knew he'd always protect that heart that he'd been given. Because he truly did feel valued with Kim. Every moment he spent with him was just as precious as the next. There was a smile on his face as he kept listening to him. A smile that turned to absolute surprise as he gasped when he realized what Kim had just said to him.
