(( He looks from Riley back to their pack of pets and grins. ))
We adopted Keats and not even a week later we went back and came home with Poe and Shelley. George showed up a week or two after that. We came home and the dogs were all sleeping around him.
(( Their babies are smart! But it doesn't stop Will from laughing as the whole pack seems to move as one. He tangles his fingers with Riley's and follows the pets happily. ))
[Riley laughs as he tugs Will along until they get to the park. All that open grass and the trees. And there's that dessert stand with nice hot desserts just waiting to be ordered fresh!]
[You can bet Riley is going to buy them basically one of everything so that way they can share it all. You know, since they're bottomless pits for sweets!]
(( He can't help a giggle at that look. It's sad they're limited on how many snacks they can get because they need to have a hand free each to manage the pets! At least until they can get somewhere to let them off-leash. ))
I think I'll get a bag to put them all in to make it easier to carry. No. Two bags.
[That way they can get even more! Riley nods as he starts pointing to things to order so much that it looks like they'll have way too much for just the two of them to eat.
(( Will's eyes are wide and happy as he watches the poor proprietor stuff the bags full of treats. He looks skeptical that these two skinny boys will be able to put a dent in this much food, but little does he know!
Once they have all their food and hot chocolate, Will scans the area for a nice place to settle and let the pets roam. He's sure George won't stray far from Poe, so he's not particularly worried about letting everyone off-leash while they eat. ))
[Riley immediately knows where to go and leads them toward an area near some water where they can sit and spread out there stuff. Plus the water is pretty so it's a great view on top of it all.]
(( Will hasn't been here long enough to find these scenic places and so he's grateful to Riley for picking someplace beautiful for them and the pets. ))

I love that. I know you'd never work at a bad shelter but to think we rescued them from one makes me so happy.
