"My parents were so scared because I was only a small child at the time. It was long before I knew what I was. All I knew was that it wouldn't hurt me. My parents didn't know that though and rushed to get me away."
Riley hummed softly in thought. "Sometimes I think back to that day and wonder if maybe that wolf could have ended up being my friend if they hadn't pulled me away."
" Maybe." Kim said once Riley had finished speaking. " But I wouldn't let my kid near a wild animal either. I mean, unless I knew that there was something else working there." he tilted his head. " You grew up pretty normal? I mean like a regular human would?"
"Yeah. In London. I didn't even know I had magic until I was eighteen. But I'm thinking I might have started using it when I was sixteen and just thought things were coincidences because I never knew anything about magic." Riley had always just thought it was stories until his world had been rocked. "Normal school, normal dating life, normal family trips..."
He shrugged a bit. "I haven't had a lot of normal since I was eighteen."
" You probably did, I mean you kind of used it with that wolf when you were pretty small already." he said bringing his arms a little tighter around Riley. " I didn't believe in it until I came here." he paused for a moment, just soaking in not only the warm bathwater, but the warmth of the moment with Riley.
" Normal is subjective anyway." he said after a while. " You're perfect to me, just the way you are."
The words made him smile and he arched his back so he could reach back and touch his boyfriend. He loved how good Kim was with words. He was quiet but when he spoke he always knew to listen to him.
"I have a lot of work to do on myself but I'm getting better! I'm really happy you like me as I am though."
" I think everyone here does." he said giving a soft smile. " We are all healing from different things in our lives after all." he nuzzled into the touch as they spoke.

Riley smiled at Kim's words, nuzzling back into him happily. "Did you know I almost pet a wild wolf once?"

" That some how does not surprise me at all. You have a way of taming even the the most angry beasts."
