Thank you. {He kisses Riley's cheek and then uses a different soap - one meant for delicate strands of hair - gently lathering up the dark hair from root to tip. His fingers massage Riley's scalp in the meantime.}

[Oh the Fae just melts under the attention, letting out such a happy sigh and making sure to note that he needs to give Xie the same attention in return.]

You're so good with your hands...

I like to be good with my hands. I would be a poor musician and boyfriend otherwise.

{Xie is only half-teasing. He loves making music and helping his loved ones relax. Using a sprayer this time, he removes the lather from Riley's hair until it shines.}

[For fun, and also just because he thinks it'll look pretty, he lets the water from the spray seem to turn his hair back to blond waves until all of the suds are gone. Eyes opening, he tilts his head back with a smile to see if Xie liked his trick.]

{The trick is met with delight! Xie nuzzles his face against the pretty gold locks and laughs.}

It seems to me that you are more comfortable with your powers?

[Riley smiles brightly up at him.]

Illusions come pretty easily to me. Will was saying that they even come more easily to me than they do to him. He's going to help me learn more about what I'm capable of with my magic too.

[Then he goes to get up.]

I look forward to seeing what you can do - particularly with your ice. Blades and shields of ice could be quite effective if you needed them.

{Xie flushes and smiles, sitting where Riley had sat.}

Make sure you scrub behind my ears.

{So he can steal kisses by having Riley so close~}

[Taking what he needs, he starts behind him of course. Gently moving his hair out of the way he starts to take care of him and scrubs the furry places thoroughly so they'll be nice and clean.]

I will. I'm going to scrub all of you.

[It's becoming easier and easier to let go of the pain in his heart as he finds that things will be okay with him and Xie. And he has his little family here and now Will is here too. It's all very healing and he's finding that each day he's able to start returning to himself again.

Moving around in front of him, he works to get those adorable lion ears nice and scrubbed.]

{Xie arches into the scrubbing, happy to have his fur cleaned. Not that it was dirty. In general, Xie is a very clean person. But being scrubbed feels good nonetheless.}

You're doing a fine job.

{He waits for Riley to face him and then he begins his kisses, hoping to warm any pain or unease in his lover's heart. Sometimes words just aren't good enough, but his lips are soft.}

[Riley bursts into giggles.]

You're distracting me! Bully!

[He pokes his nose!]

{He wrinkles his nose and lifts his chin haughtily.}

Am I not supposed to kiss my boyfriend?

Not when he's trying to clean you and you know he gets distracted!

[But he gives him a kiss back before going to kneel in front of him.]

Lean back so I can get the rest of you then I'll do you hair.

I just want him to know I love him, that's all.

{Xie's ears flick playfully and his tail lashes.}

As you wish, my A-Ley. {He leans back and parts his legs, smirking.}

You're being distracting again.

[He can see it in that whole posture so he sticks his tongue out at him before getting back to scrubbing him down. He can do this. He will not get distracted!]

How do I stop? {He feigns a look of confusion before he snickers to himself. Said scrubbing causes a soft moan and another trail of fur appears on Xie's stomach, leading...down...}

[Riley would answer but now he really is distracted. Reaching out, he runs his fingers over the trail of fur.]

You grew a very clear happy trail...

{A...A what now? Is that a modern...? It must be. Xie laughs and finds himself unable to dispute the name.}

Well I am happy.

[Riley laughs and shakes his head and leans back to demonstrate on himself. He doesn't have a trail but he can still point.]

No, no. A happy trail is usually a line of hair going from your navel and leading down to your 'happy place'.

[He moves his fingers to demonstrate where he line follows on himself.]

You have one!

{And Xie is looking! His eyes shine brightly with mischief and he bites his lip. That seems like a nice line to kiss down.}

Mine is fur. Does that make it a...happier...trail?

{A fuzzier one anyway! He runs his fingertips down the fur, grinning.}

It makes me very happy. Does that count?

[Not caring about the bubbles all over Xie, he crawls closer so he can kiss the trail then smile up at his boyfriend.]

Let me get you rinsed off and your hair washed before we forget all about you taking care of my scales in the bath.

Your happiness matters more than my own to me.

{Xie beams and cups Riley's face between his hands. The bubbles are forgotten for a moment.}

Mmm oh yes! {He nods at his bag.} I have oil that can be used on your scales and...for other fun activities.

Then I better rinse you off and wash your hair fast!

[He smiles brightly up at him then goes to get the bucket of water. Slowly he pours it over him then takes down Xie's hair to wash it next, massaging his scalp with his fingers as he does.]

I'm sure you can. {Xie beams back and moves to make rinsing him off easier. Then he sits and enjoys the attention paid to his hair. And his scalp. The hair on his back stands up and his tail wraps around Riley.}

[It's always nice having that tail wrap around him and he smiles as he feels the weight of it against his skin. Combing his fingers through the long strands, he tilts Xie's head back so they can rinse smooth and clean before he takes and extra towel and twists the hair up. With the aid of the towel, he's able to keep it up and off of Xie.]

There. Now we can get in.

{Having his hair free emphasizes its mane-like quality and Xie chuckles to himself. He continues to toy with the new fur on his belly until his hair is wrapped in a towel.}

You scrubbed me well. {He stands and kisses Riley before retrieving the bottle of oil from his bag. Then he climbs into the deep tub and smiles invitingly.} Come join me.
