Cuddling into Kim, Riley watched those pretty lips kiss his hand with a happy sigh. He felt so special when he heard those words. Truly loved and admired in every way. He couldn't stop smiling as he came down from the high of it all.
"You don't have to thank me. Being with me is thank you enough. Though the sex is a great way to do it too," he joked gently. "You're so special to me. Getting to know you and getting moments like this? It's everything to me."
He brought his arms around Riley, pulling him nice and securely to his chest. leaning in to kiss his hair.
Kim wasn't always the word smith he hoped he could be when he found people he really gave a shit about, so he would in other ways show that those who had weathered the cactus like outer shell knew just how special they were. When he did find his words, it might not be much but it was the world.

"After everything I've been through here there were moments when I felt like I should give up on others and only stay with Will. Then I couldn't be hurt because I knew he'd stay with me. But getting to know you, getting to know Cheng too, I've been able to find healing. Will helped so much but so have you. I don't need a thank you because I get it every time I'm with you and I get to see how precious things are together because I know you truly care about me as I am."
" If anyone in this world or the next really deserves to be happy and shown love it's you." he said shifting to adjust to Riley's snuggling in more. Kim's got to be the perfect big spoon too after all.
" When you first told me about what happened with the others, I just wanted to erase that pain from your heart. But though I would rip someone apart who ever did something like that to you again, it also in a way made our start stronger. Even with my flaws I knew then and there that I would always want to protect you. Even if you are the king of Winter and could probably freeze me in a second." there was a smile from him. " I am glad I was and am a part that is making your heart heal."
"I'm not a king!" He giggled a bit but he understood what Kim was saying anyway. The sentiment mattered more than the facts really did and Riley could appreciate that. "I don't want to freeze you though. If anything I want to protect you from the cold so you'll always be safe and warm when you're with me. That way I'll get to see that beautiful smile of yours more often."
" To me you are." with out missing a beat. He wasn't sure how to put into words what it was like to hear someone say they wanted to protect him, like not in a way that was being a pain in the ass. Or because of who he was, but just because he was himself. Instead of trying he just hugged Riley from behind.
"You say the sweetest things. They always make me feel so good." Leaning back into the hug, he smiled and brought Kim's hand up so he could press kisses to it again. Just because he could really. If Kim were being really honest with himself, he absolutely adored it when he got to keep his lovers over night. There was something to be said about the different type of bond that one could build sleeping and laying talking skin to skin just holding one another.

He shifted grabbing his device off the night stand. " You could do it now, so neither of us forget and I do not want Will worried." handing the device to Riley, see don't even have to leave bed!
Giving Kim a quick kiss in thanks, he took the device so he could send a quick message to his husband. Let him know that he'd see him tomorrow and tonight he was spending the night with Kim upstairs. Will wouldn't mind that. He knew that for a fact so he had no problem letting him know this way.
Once he got a reply, he smiled and set the device to the side so he could focus on his boyfriend again.
Kim smiled into the kiss. He doubted he would ever be able to word just how much he appreciated and loved these little moments. He doubted he would ever be able to covey the appropriate amount that he loved Riley and Will both. It was like they were the fairies in the fairy tales and had sprinkled him with their magic dust and now a whole other side of life had just opened up.
" Can't have my baby boy worried about my other baby boy." he said readjusting his arms around Riley. " Good, even though I feel selfish keeping you all to myself. " part of him did but he supposed that was part of a poly relationship too.

Even though he was pretty sure that he was the second oldest. But who really cared about ages? It was the feeling that made someone baby more than actual years of life. Riley knew he was baby and he absolutely loved to be.
"Also it's okay to be selfish sometimes. Especially when everyone else is okay with it too."
Kim laughed a bit at that too. " It's because you are so soft and warm. Even though I would never insult you to think you incapable of defending your self. I will always want to protect you."

Not just by Kim and Will either. But by the whole family. It was wonderful and brought him so much joy. The warmth he felt every time they said things like that was amazing.

Being called addicting was such a fun compliment. Riley absolutely loved it and even twisted in those arms so that way he'd be able to reach back and give Kim a kiss as thanks for that. He would never get tired of Kim's clever way with words when it came to complimenting him and Will.
"Oh good. I was really hoping you'd like it. I wanted to give you something meaningful and it was the first thing that I thought of."
Kim just called it as he felt it when in relationships that were deeply meaningful. He smiled softly into the kiss bringing his hand up to smooth Riley's hair.
" I love it, you're talented. The colors and how it is very, me." he pointed to a spot above the desk where he writes. " I thought it would look good there, what do you think?"
Looking over where he pointed, he gasped softly. Wow, he really wanted it there? Where he'd be able to see it all the time when he was writing? Riley was in awe that he'd want in such an important place considering what he did with music.
"I really love that spot." He glanced at him again. "Are you sure? You love it that much you want it there at your desk?"
