Of course I love them! Animals are so great in general and then these are ours!

[He wraps his arms around Keats.]

It's like they're our kids!

We adopted them all together. Well, except George. He wandered in from the balcony one night and decided to stay. Guess he knows two suckers when he sees them.

[He looks over at George who can't be bothered and is just bathing himself.]

You know what's up, don't you, George. You knew we were a great household to join.

(( George is very cat. But it's a complete coincidence when he's always in the same room, or at least in line of sight of his people. The dogs? They were much more open about their love! ))

You want to help me take them on a walk?

YES!

[Realizing he just shouted, he bursts out laughing then contains his excitement a little more.]

Yes. Absolutely.

(( But Riley's enthusiasm is infectious and Will's giggling, too. He gets up from where he's crouched to get the leashes so they can take the pets out. Surprisingly, there's one for George, too. He doesn't like to be left out of the family outings. ))

[When he sees that there's a leash for George too, he's thrilled and immediately takes it so he can help strap the cat in. Giving the pretty kitty a kiss on the head, he beams and then steps over to get one of the dogs too.]

You guys are going to love it here. There's so many new smells for you to explore!

(( Shelley got her nose through the the other dogs, a clear indication that she wants Riley to walk her! She knows her favorite person.

Will chuckles as he leashes Keats and Poe and then grabs a hoodie to pull over his sweater. It's getting awfully cold out there for a summer Fae. ))

Everyone ready?

[Riley's face lights up when he sees that Shelley wants to be with him. Leashing her up, he gives her nose a kiss.]

Ready!

[He leads the way with his charges out the door.]

Am I Shelley's favorite? She was so eager to be with me!

She definitely likes you better. If there's only me, she'll accept me, but you're her favorite.

(( Will wrangled Keats and Poe whose little faces lit up as soon as they were out the door. ))

You have the best taste, Shelley!

[He loves the way the dogs get so excited and how they pull them along. It really feels like they've been a family for awhile even though he knows that it's only like that for Will.

Everything about being with Will just feels so...natural.]

I love them. All four of them. Tell me about how we got them. Please?

Well, I was talking with you about Keats while we were on a date. We weren't really serious until that date. But after we went to your place and started talking more seriously about adopting him together and finding a place for the three of us. Obviously, his name wasn't Keats until we adopted him. After a couple days, we thought he might be lonely when we were at our jobs. So we went back and fell for Poe and Shelley. George joined us a few weeks later. He and Poe are best friends.

[Riley makes sure he keeps pace with Will so he won't miss a second of the story, his smile growing as he nods.]

Let me guess...you're the favorite person of Keats, right?

[He's so sure of it. He can feel it! And he loves that too. That Shelley has him, Keats has Will, and Poe and George have each other. Everyone gets to be so happy! It's just the sort of thing he loves about this family already.]

(( Will chuckles as they walk, the dogs and even George sniffing curiously as they went. ))

That’s right!

I knew it! I could just tell based on how our little family is!

[And he's so thrilled to have figured that out too!]

Shelley’s your girl. I know I’m the side piece in our home.

[Riley laughs and gives him a playful shove.]

That makes me the side piece for you and Keats, you know!

[ Will laughed at that! Then he glanced at their pets and lowered his voice. ]

I love you most.

[hideawayparadise]

[That makes him blush. Not out of shyness but just the sheer joy of hearing the words. He smiles as he looks over at him.]

I love you too.

[floralias]

(( A grin spread over his face and those dark eyes lit up. He leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to Riley's cheek. ))

I think George might suspect, but don't tell the dogs. They'd be heartbroken.

I bet he doesn't tell them either. He looks like he's great at keeping secrets.

[Plus he's a cat. He's gotta hold something over everyone.]

Well, he is a cat.

(( Will flashed him a conspiratorial grin as if they now shared a special secret. ))

[Riley makes a shushing motion and grins.]

Shhhh! I don't think the dogs know!

[floralias]

(( A peel of laughter bubbles up from Will's chest and he playfully claps his hand against Riley's shoulder. ))

It'll be our secret, then.

[Giggling now, he looks at the animals as they explore their new surroundings.]

I always wanted to have a pet. Now I have four of them!
