[They're definitely sitting next to each other, Riley utterly engrossed in a book. But the gentle sound of his device catches his attention and he finds a spot to stop before looking to see who messaged him. Seeing it's Will, he smiles and sets the book aside so he can wrap his arms around his husband instead.]
[Taking his hand, he lets go briefly to let Will get his coat on. He just has one of Will's sweaters on himself. One he's borrowing because he loves how big it is on him. Meant to be big enough for him to wiggle into when Will is wearing it but it still looks great on him anyway.
Wrapping himself around one of those strong arms, he beams at him and lets himself be led wherever they're going.]
(( He smiles happily at Riley once the younger Fae was leeched onto his arm. It's still a little too cold for his liking outside, so the coat was a necessity for him. Poor tropical flower trapped in this horrible winter! Even with his coat over a sweater, he shivers a little when they step into the open air. ))
To the train station!
(( He pointed dramatically in the direction before leading them off down. It would take too long if they walked all the way to the Western Kingdom. And it was just too cold (for Will) to walk that far!
Once on the train, Will settles close to Riley, clasping his hands the whole ride to Narashi. Will leads them from the train station down the pathways until looming ahead is their destination: Rakuen Dagashiya. ))
[Of course Riley tries to get hints during the ride, curious thing that he is. But he gives up when he realizes he won't get them. So instead he just waits for them to get there.
And he smells the sugar in the air before they're even fully there. Gasping, he points at the building.]
Is that where we're going? Say that's the surprise!
(( Will manages to stay tight-lipped on the train ride there, changing the subject whenever Riley asked about their destination. And, oh, was it worth it to see Riley brighten when he saw the restaurant. ))
(( Will flings his arms around Riley's waist and laughs as soon as their lips part. He unwinds himself from his husband to take his arm and leads them to the restaurant. Holding open the door, he grins as Riley passes by. His enthusiasm for... well, everything is something Will never tires of. It makes him sigh as he follows behind and quickly finds them a table for two. ))
[But he's already vibrating excitedly, still clinging to Will's hand as he looks for a server so they can get one. Because they're about to have so much food!]
(( Will catches the eye of a server and waves them over. Once they have a menu, he leans in close to Riley so they can look at it together. Dark eyes go wide at all choices and Will lets out a little 'ooohhh.' ))
What if we get a bunch of different parfaits and sundaes with different toppings?
Oh, that would be nice if they did! It wouldn't have to go very far if they did. That would be so nice for Gaura. He loves his plants and takes such good care of them. He's like you with your art: passionate.
We should ask them if that's where they get their fruit when they come back! Oh and also I want to try their caramel. And it looks like they even have honey too. I wonder what we should get for crunch...
They do look really good. Oh there's dried raspberries! That will be fun too!
[Honestly all of it's fun. So when the waiter comes back Riley's happy to help start rambling off a million things they're going to order to share. Oh! And!]
(( Their server's eyes get progressively bigger and bigger the more they add to their order. They're so surprised by the size of it that they almost missed Riley's question. They're too busy wondering how in the world two people are going to consume that much ice cream! But, yes, they affirm that that's where they get their fruits from. After that nursery opened, it was able to provide fresh fruits more consistently than the previous supplier.
Will bounced where he sat, clapping his hands lightly at the news. He wanted his friend to do well because Gaura loved his garden and he did so much work to maintain it. He deserved success. ))
