(( George allowed himself to be scritched and toddled off to let his canine siblings harass their other parent. But he stayed where he could see both Will and Riley clearly.
Will grinned, waiting to see if he could figure out which of their dogs were which. ))
(( There's so much tail wagging right now. So much. And Will? He can't stop grinning like a fool. He's so happy that their whole family are back together! ))
It's a good thing they're used to being in small spaces. They should be okay here until we move.
We adopted them all together. Well, except George. He wandered in from the balcony one night and decided to stay. Guess he knows two suckers when he sees them.
(( George is very cat. But it's a complete coincidence when he's always in the same room, or at least in line of sight of his people. The dogs? They were much more open about their love! ))
(( But Riley's enthusiasm is infectious and Will's giggling, too. He gets up from where he's crouched to get the leashes so they can take the pets out. Surprisingly, there's one for George, too. He doesn't like to be left out of the family outings. ))
[When he sees that there's a leash for George too, he's thrilled and immediately takes it so he can help strap the cat in. Giving the pretty kitty a kiss on the head, he beams and then steps over to get one of the dogs too.]
You guys are going to love it here. There's so many new smells for you to explore!
[He loves the way the dogs get so excited and how they pull them along. It really feels like they've been a family for awhile even though he knows that it's only like that for Will.
Everything about being with Will just feels so...natural.]
I love them. All four of them. Tell me about how we got them. Please?
Well, I was talking with you about Keats while we were on a date. We weren't really serious until that date. But after we went to your place and started talking more seriously about adopting him together and finding a place for the three of us. Obviously, his name wasn't Keats until we adopted him. After a couple days, we thought he might be lonely when we were at our jobs. So we went back and fell for Poe and Shelley. George joined us a few weeks later. He and Poe are best friends.
[Riley makes sure he keeps pace with Will so he won't miss a second of the story, his smile growing as he nods.]
Let me guess...you're the favorite person of Keats, right?
[He's so sure of it. He can feel it! And he loves that too. That Shelley has him, Keats has Will, and Poe and George have each other. Everyone gets to be so happy! It's just the sort of thing he loves about this family already.]

Go on then.

[To his surprise, they obey immediately. Oh right, because they're his dogs too! Riley smiles brightly and crosses his legs as he studies them.]
The black one is...Poe. Right? Because Edgar Allen Poe?

(( He has a feeling Riley will get all the answer right. He helped to name them, after all. ))

Oh! She's Shelley! Like Mary Shelley! So that means this handsome fellow is Keats!

Very good, A+!

[He goes back to petting each of them.]
You guys will have so much room. You won't know what to do with all of it!

(( He chuckles and then crouches to down to join in on petting the dogs. ))
I'm so happy you love them.

[He wraps his arms around Keats.]
It's like they're our kids!

You know what's up, don't you, George. You knew we were a great household to join.

You want to help me take them on a walk?
no subject
[Realizing he just shouted, he bursts out laughing then contains his excitement a little more.]
Yes. Absolutely.

Will chuckles as he leashes Keats and Poe and then grabs a hoodie to pull over his sweater. It's getting awfully cold out there for a summer Fae. ))
Everyone ready?
no subject
Ready!
[He leads the way with his charges out the door.]
Am I Shelley's favorite? She was so eager to be with me!
no subject
(( Will wrangled Keats and Poe whose little faces lit up as soon as they were out the door. ))
